Selected organizations will take the stage at the Art Gallery of Ontario on May 28, 2026, pitching their ideas to an audience of engaged philanthropists and decision-makers competing to allocate significant funding.

We are looking for bold, scalable, and evidence-informed initiatives that approach complex problems with fresh thinking and measurable impact.

Applications are open to registered Canadian charities.

Christina Sorbara

ICD.D, AccBD, FEA

Christina Sorbara, is a highly regarded business leader, corporate director, strategic coach, author, speaker and former national team athlete. Within the multi-generational and multi-family-run Real Estate Development company, the Sorbara Group of Companies (1942), she is an organizational leadership and governance executive, EVP Corporate Knowledge, part of the Strategic Planning Oversight Group, Lead of Human Resources and Corporate Responsibility across all departments of the company and shareholders. She is a director on the Advisory Board, Chair of the HR Committee and she also Chairs The Sam Sorbara Charitable Foundation (1982) and serves on several boards, including the SickKids Foundation, the President’s Executive Committee of Brown University and the Campaign Chair for Ontario Tech University, which in 2023, proudly conferred upon Christina the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws. Christina is the first Family Business Institute Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Ted Rogers School of Business. In 2024, she was named as one of the “Transformational Women in Family Business” by Family Business Magazine (USA.)

The Sorbara Group of Companies has been an innovative force shaping Ontario’s real estate sector for more than 84 years; an integrated real estate, planning, development, construction, investment and management firm, operating commercial, industrial, office and retail properties, managing residential rentals and building high-rise and low-rise communities.

Mark Gerson

Co-Founder & Chairman, 3i Members

Mark Gerson is a New York–based entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the co-founder of Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), the pioneering expert network, and 3i Members, a global investment community of more than 800 exited entrepreneurs, family offices, and private investors.

He is also the co-founder and Chairman of United Hatzalah, the crowd-sourced volunteer emergency response organization, and African Mission Healthcare, which supports Christian medical missionaries in delivering clinical care, training, and medical infrastructure across Africa.

Mark is a graduate of Williams College and Yale Law School. He is also a national bestselling author, most recently of God Was Right.
