Christina Sorbara, is a highly regarded business leader, corporate director, strategic coach, author, speaker and former national team athlete. Within the multi-generational and multi-family-run Real Estate Development company, the Sorbara Group of Companies (1942), she is an organizational leadership and governance executive, EVP Corporate Knowledge, part of the Strategic Planning Oversight Group, Lead of Human Resources and Corporate Responsibility across all departments of the company and shareholders. She is a director on the Advisory Board, Chair of the HR Committee and she also Chairs The Sam Sorbara Charitable Foundation (1982) and serves on several boards, including the SickKids Foundation, the President’s Executive Committee of Brown University and the Campaign Chair for Ontario Tech University, which in 2023, proudly conferred upon Christina the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws. Christina is the first Family Business Institute Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Ted Rogers School of Business. In 2024, she was named as one of the “Transformational Women in Family Business” by Family Business Magazine (USA.)
