Denise Castonguay

Founder and CEO

Denise registered Canada Gives in 2005 and was a pioneer in establishing donor advised funds for major donors, as a flexible alternative to a private foundation. She is a distinguished leader in Canadian philanthropy, committed to adding value to the not for profit sector while empowering donors to maximize their impact. Drawing on extensive experience from the investment industry and foundation management, Denise has played an integral role in advancing donor-advised funds and fostering strategic philanthropy nationwide.

Karen Clarke

Director of Foundations and Donor Services

Karen worked for over 17 years with HNW clients as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) before joining Canada Gives in 2016. As an MFA-P & Director of Foundations & Donor Services, Karen leads the client service team to serve the Canada Gives’ donor clients in all aspects of their individual philanthropic goals and activities, assisting them to develop a strategic focus and create meaningful gifts and relationships with their core charities. Drawing on her financial planning experience, Karen has been instrumental in developing a client service offering that is highly customized to each DAF donor, their needs and personal charitable objectives. In her off hours, you will find Karen on the ski slopes, hiking up a mountain or on her road bike enjoying the great outdoors

Chris Cote

Director of IT and Operations

Chris has over 30 years of leadership in financial services, with expertise in wealth management and insurance. As Director of IT & Operations, he leads innovation and operational efficiency. He has consulted for investment firms and held senior roles at major Canadian financial organizations, where he has led digital transformation, operations and technology integrations and other large scale and global initiatives. Chris holds industry certifications and a BA from York University.

Delaney Morris

Manager, Communications, IT and Process Excellence

Known for using both sides of her brain in equal measure, Delaney brings a rare mix of imaginative thinking and analytical precision to every project. Before joining the team, Delaney spent 13 years at Blue Mountain Resorts in a variety of roles, collaborating closely with FP&A and IT teams to launch ERP systems, drive efficiencies, and deliver training. She attended Queen’s University for Fine Arts, earned a Certificate in Wealth Management – Financial Operations from George Brown College, and is completing a Certificate in Graphic Design from OCAD University (October 2025).

Ian Currie

Regional Development Manager – Western Canada

Ian, MFA-P™, has spent his much of his career helping Canadians make a difference. First as a financial advisor and estate planner, and now as Regional Development Manager for Western Canada at Canada Gives. He partners with advisors and their clients to create customized donor-advised funds that simplify giving, amplify impact, and carry generosity across generations. When the workday ends, you’ll likely find him behind the wheel (or handlebars) of something gleaming, because to Ian, whether it’s a philanthropic plan, a car, or a motorcycle, the details matter.

Tiffany Gallagher

Planning Associate

With 19 years of experience in the financial industry, Tiffany brings a deep understanding of wealth management, client service, and strategic planning to the Gift Planning Associate role. Her background in financial planning has equipped her with the advanced knowledge to guide donors in creating impactful, lasting legacies, and her MFA-P designation reflects her expertise in philanthropy. She is passionate about connecting financial insight with charitable vision to help donors achieve their philanthropic goals with confidence and clarity.

Fatima Oliviera

Finance Clerk

Fatima joined Canada Gives in September 2024 as our Finance Clerk and is responsible for the financial administration of our foundation accounts and general accounting duties. With over 25 years of experience in Finance across several industries, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. Prior to her career she attended Seneca Polytechnic where she earned her Diploma in Accounting.
